Should You expect an increase in the cost of hotels in Turkey in 2020
In the second half of May, Turkish authorities will allow hotels to open.
In relation to hotels, additional requirements are made:
- Continuous disinfection of premises
- Ventilation is required 24/7.
- Reduction in the number of sunbeds on the beach and tables in restaurants
- Open buffets are strictly prohibited.
Due to some of these rules, the expenses have increased in hotels.
Osman Ayik, president of the Turkish Hoteliers Federation, denied the rumours in an official statement, saying that there will not be any price increase. Because large hotels have contracts with travel agencies and agreed on the cost last year, so we can give you the reliving news of saying that prices will not change with foreigners coming with agencies.
We believe that many hotels will make discounts and offers to attract customers.
Mr Ayik also said the hoteliers association hopes for financial support from the government to avoid bankruptcy.
