A game-changing transport project has started in the Mediterranian region of Turkey at the beginning of 2019. In 2 -3 years, the projects are expected to be finished. The Project is a high-speed railway which will connect Alanya to Manavgat and Antalya. The minister of foreign affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu told journalists that plans have been made, but other factors are being taken into consideration.
From what has been told, the 154km long railway track (Antalya-Manavgat-Alanya) will be a continuation of a new long railway to connect Antalya with Ankara, Istanbul and Eskişehir.
The average speed of the trains of the new railway will be 250-300 km per hour, it will transport 4,5 million passengers and 10 million tons of cargo each year. It will take 20 minutes to get from Alanya to Antalya, about 4.5 hours to Istanbul, and 3 hours to Ankara.
