TripAdvisor announced the winners of this year's top 181 top beach locations around the world, including Australia, South Pacific and Asia.

Award winners were determined based on the most highly rated beach destinations by travellers in TripAdvisor reviews.

"These beach destinations provide inspiration for travellers who are looking for a quick weekend getaway nearby or who are planning that perfect tropical retreat in a different country, as identified by TripAdvisor's community of travellers," said Jean Ow-Yeong, TripAdvisors spokesperson.
