Kemer

Kemer is a seaside resort on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, just 40 km from Antalya. This city has become one of the most important tourism centres of Turkey. It was a region of see flood water from mountains and moor. In 1916-1917, the people of the village have built a 23 km long stone wall to protect the town from flooding and the name “Kemer” refers to those walls.

Kemer is characteristic for its natural beauty with wonderful azure sea, pine forests and Taurus Mountains that combine in harmony. The shore from Beldibi to Tekirova consists of beautiful unspoilt beaches mostly with stones. The Marina in Kemer is a stop for American and European sailors for winter.

The area of Kemer offers amazing tourist sites such as Goynuk Canyon, the ancient cities Olympos and Phaselis, Chimaera that is the natural burning rock of Greek mythology, Ulupinar with its mountain spring water, Three Islands, popular among scuba divers and Eco Park with rich plant and animal variety. This park is the only ecological park in the world that includes plant and animal species together.
