Climate: The weather here in Turkler is typically Mediterranean with hot and humid summers, where temperatures regularly hit the forties during July and August. The winter months are characterised by sunny days followed by cooler nights. Through December and January, expect rain and occasional storms. Temperatures can range from 16 degrees to around 7 or 8 degrees. Some visitors prefer to come 'off season' during Spring or Autumn when it's slightly cooler and less humid.
Beaches: The beaches in Turkler tend to be quite rocky with coarse sand. However, there are sections nearer to the hotels where the sand is soft and white. Transport links are very well established in this region with a wide range of transfer companies, car hire and taxis and the local bus service is efficient and regular.
Recreational Activities: This area of Turkler and Alanya is full of activities to keep you and your family entertained. Water sports stations are dotted along the shoreline with thrill-seeking rides such as jet skis, parasailing, water skiing, banana boating, etc. Diving and fishing tours can be arranged at the local harbour alongside boat tours of the area, which are very popular. If you are even more adventurous, then the Taurus mountains offer a wide range of activities from tandem parachuting to hiking, gorge walking, white water rafting and canyoning. Archaeological Delights: Take a trip into Alanya town, which has many archaeological sites to captivate you. The castle hill is a stunning place to walk to or take the newly built cable car up to. It offers some fabulous panoramic views of the bay of Alanya and the rugged mountains. Within the boundary of the castle is the Red Tower and the Shipyards. Further afield is the town of Side, which has been likened to a living museum and is well worth a visit. Aspendos often has open-air opera and ballet, which are wonderful to see in such an atmospheric venue.
